12/17/2023 0 Comments Trainz 2009 auran![]() Nothing says you have to have EE, you can make your own content, wait until 2009 content becomes available on the DLS, or just muddle along on TS2009 with content from previous versions.Ībout your last comment. If you want to make routes and drive, buy both, they are designed to work together. Now back to EE, this has been described as being for people who want to drive so why include Surveyor, that has already been provided in WBE, so they can sell EE at the same low price as WBE. so what you get is old content to experience the new program and modify where needed, at a price that will break nobody's bank. So they make WBE containing the new program but cannot contain new content 'cos it has not been made yet. To make the new content they need the new program but that is not in EE so that won't work. Where will the new content come from? From the content creators who are an integral part of the Trainz scene. EE will provide routes and content that will work with all the new goodies in 2009. Wow, not sure why I waxed philosophical there! Glad to be onboard here, the community seems to be really pleasant and very active!Īuran's strategy seems perfectly logical to me. I really liked the detail in the 2004 demo, where you could watch the coal go into the container, see how it filled up, and carry it to the next stop. I love trains, and I really enjoyed my time with games like Railroad Tycoon, where I could watch the trains go over the scenery. It would be nice to have something a little more relaxed, something I can create my own world at my own leisure, not feel like I have a set goal, not too much reliant on twitch gameplay. I play all sorts of games, from RPGs, FPS, RTS, to Tycoon sims. ![]() I played with the 20 editor a few months ago, and really liked what I saw and it seemed pretty intuitive. Well, that was what I needed to know, is if you can jump right in and drive some trains with the WBE (I didn't want to only have the builder utility, and get stuck with nothing to drive while I learned the editor). WBE will work for me, right (the price point is pretty low, so that may be what concerns me)?Īlso, wouldn't the major difference between WBE and EE just be that I would have to physically do the work to pick and choose new content to download with the WBE, wheras it is already on the EE? I'm a big boy and can spend time DL'ing stuff, so I don't mind.Īlso, I am primarily interesting in building and running passenger trains (as I lived in NYC recently, I got kinda hooked on the idea of mass transit trains). However, if I buy WBE, then I should have tons of routes to use if I want to drive some trains immediately, right? It includes all sorts of user created routes from 20, as well as the official content for both? I want to be able to drive some Trains, and I figure it will take me some time to learn the builder, so I want to have some game to play while learning. My question is, what exactly is the difference here? I surmised from reading that Engineer will release after people build some new content and will include all the newly built content of 2009WBE. ![]() Now I see they have two editions of TS2009, the World Builder and the Engineer. I am completely new to Trainz, wanted to get 2004 or 2006 but I waited to see what happened. ![]() I'll piggy back my stupid question into this thread. ![]()
